Yesterday we had another visit to the vet. Time for another load of injections for Agares.
Well, as usually, things dont always go as planned and when reached home, it was time to hunt down Agares. As the routine was different (Mommy always goes and puts on pc, goes to shower and then eats), Agares noted something was happening and decided to go to observe the situation from under the bed. Almost an hour later, Agares was captured (oh she is not happy then) and the trip to the vet could begin.
There was a lot of patients on the vet, so we had to wait a bit. But I know Mommy did not mind... as our friends Norbert and Zofia were waiting there as well... With singapurpurs! In the box were one of the baby boys and Yoko, who came to get her blood test results. I can just imagine how happy Mommy was patting the little babyboy (weirdly, she lately has this "babyfewer" going on and all kittenbabypictures make her go aaaaaw and oooooow).
Well, then it was time for Agares to see the vet. In matter of few seconds the injections were done, and trip to home could begin.
We got still last medication time on Saturday evening, but truly hope that all is now done and Agares can slowly start trusting to Mommy again. Its been long weeks fighting this infection, and on Monday we almost lost all hope already. Keep your fingers crossed now.
And as a bonus... Singapura baby picture from the weekend.

Agares and pee problems part number too many..
So, there we go again, the urinary track infection stroke Agares. 2 weeks of injections, spying her on the door while she was peeing and hoping... and hoping. For a while we always got it under control, until it hit her again. It was feeling like a never ending story.
Those who do not know, Agares is very afraid of the world and new situations cause here very bad stress. We've managed at home, and Aga has been less stressed than ever before. Everything was going well, until she again started having symptoms of UTI (Urinary track infection) and frequent visits to toilet, peeing to wrong places and visible stress shown us that she needed help. So call to vet and we got medications for her.
Now on Monday, we hit a wall. Agares was barely peeing anymore, and was so stressed from treating her, that it was obvious that we needed a miracle. We arranged a vet visit for Tuesday and we all were very worried if little FaFaa will come back home.
By a miracle, during Tuesday, she had managed to empty her bladder. We got new set of meds at vet including painkiller, antikoagulant, antibiotic and no-spa to relax her bladder.
Its been now two days, and the blood from urine has vanished. Also no more frequent visits to the toilet.
We are also trying a medicine called Kalm-Aid, to help to relax her. It is commonly known that most of the pee problems with cats are caused due stress, and we are guessing that Agares is not getting enough aminoacids to help produce serotonin which is a calming hormone. So with Kalm-Aid, we hope this balance can be restored and she can be her happyself again.
We still have big mission ahead of us, that is to catch a urine sample from her. That will not be easy, as Agares is still stressed from all the treatments and will take a while before she allows anyone near her in the toilet. But we keep hoping that we finally got over this set of urinary track infections and it will stay away for a while, or even better... permanately.
NanoSurgat, sister of Agares has been overcaring for Agares, sleeping next to her, washing her and guarding her. She is very, very protective and if any of the other cats go near them, she is hissing and pawing them to get them to back off. This has been the situation always when Agares has had any healthissues, our little NanoSurgat turns into the best ever guardian angel.

News from the weekend and future plans
Our sweet Agares had another UTI (Urinary Track Infection) and she is now receiving antibiotics for it. We noted on Saturday evening that she was not ok (she tried peeing multiple times, just small amounts came out and in the end she came and peed infront of Mommy on her blanket and Mommy was able to see the blood in the urine). Thanks to our vets in Hematowet again, she received antibiotics and painkillers without the need of dragging her there. Agares is really afraid of new things, and I like to say she is afraid of the world. Now after second injection she looks a lot better, and we hope she will continue this way and recover fast.
About futureplans. After my accident in Lodz show I have not been the same cat I used to be. Loud noises and men have began to be my fear. Mommy said we will go to show in Olsztyn in June to see how things go, and if I still have not regained myself, she will not put me to any shows for time being. She said she does not want me to not feel good in the shows, as it is supposed to be fun for both of us.
Yesterday she even gave me a bath ! What a cruelty ! I will remember this...
New pictures have been taken and hopefully by tonight we have finished uploading them to the internet. So stay tuned ! New guide is also coming out soon :)

Agares is recovering
After third day of Mommy stabbing Agares with at least half a meter long needle, she is recovering from UTI (Urinary Track Infection). I am so happy to see that she is getting healthy again and acting normally. I have to say she got all of us scared by getting sick!
Urinary track infection is quite common on felines, and should never be taken lightly when it appears, as it can become a life threatening issue in a short time. If you even slightly suspect that your cat has a UTI, do not hesitate to contact your vetenarian.
I still have to thank once more our vets in Hematowet for all their help to cure Agares, our dear UffUff.

Fight against Urinary Track Infection
Poor little Agares, our cutiepie has fallen ill to this common disease.
Yesterday when Mommy was spending a day at home with us, she realized Agares is not completely ok. She noted her going to a white box where she stored clothes to pee and instead of telling her to /shoo she decided to let her do her business there. As she told me, she does not know why, but she just stood there to watch. There was only few drops of pee, but it was obvious that there was blood in the pee.
She talked to Daddy and kept and eye on Agares. Aga tried peeing many times, but always only few droplets came out after long tries.
After Daddy got home, he called our vet and Mommy charged out to get medicines for Agares. I have to thank our vets in Hematowet for not forcing Mommy to take Agares there, as she is so afraid of the world and the stress of travel and being examined by strangers would have been too much for her.
After an hour Mommy came back and took injections out from her bag... Those needles were at least half a meter long! I am serious! Daddy was holding Agares while Mommy was being the evil one and stabbing her with those long needles! At evening tho Agares told me that she is not hurting so much anymore, so I think something good came out from all that torture. Mommy just mentioned afterwards that there are still three days of injections incoming for our little Agares.
I hope she will be well soon, and we will keep you updated on the progress of her fight against UTI (Urinary Track Infection).
For those who are not aware what are the symptoms, let me list some of them for you. This disease is very serious for your cat, so if he/she shows any symptoms, please do not hesitate to contact your vetenarian!
Symptoms include :
- blood in urine
- small amounts of urine (if any)
- multiple tries to urinate and it can be painful for the cat
- urinating to "wrong places" instead of litterbox
Remember... this is VERY serious disease for cats, and only person giving a valid diagnosis is your vetenarian. It is also quite common, and if treated fast it will have no long term implications to your loved one. Please... do not hesistate to contact your vet if you think your friend might have this illness. Better to be safe than sorry!
And once more I want to thank our vets in Hematowet here in Warsaw for all their help to cure Agares :) For those not from Poland... the vetenarians there are "english enabled" so you can receive help for your pet while in Warsaw without a problem.
