Goodbye 2016, welcome 2017

So, another year has gone past and it is time to sit down and recall the things from the past year.

It was not an easy year for us, especially the fall hit us hard after loosing few of the kittens. And on top of all MiniMe did not produce milk and we had to urgently find a surrogate mom for her kittens. Big thanks belong to Marzena who took Kiran Kirous and Kiran Kohtalo to her home, and now these two babies are growing fast with their surrogate mother and family.

Kira (Handira Ari-Gan) was sterilized after pyometra and thus moving out from our breeding program. She is staying with us as a happy neuter. Huttul (Konigsegg Van Crystaltina) was also neutered and moved to a retirement as she began being aggressive towards our other cats. She is now in a very good home and enjoys the time being the only pampered pet.

There were also some great things. We had total of five litters born during this year (G,H,I,J,K). From these kittens the greatest surprise was the birth of Hyvinkaa, our first classical tabby ever.
Blackrock also became a daddy on Christmas Eve to Egregius-cattery and surprised us all by being cinnamon carrier and producing 3 cinnamon kittens!
Alli-Elina (Jewels n'Drugs) and Lilli (Hammaspeikko) are the future hopes for our cattery and both will be living in a co-ownership home.

We weren't in too many shows, Lilith gained her 10 BIS results in the 10 shows she was present, Blackrock became Supreme champion and gained 2x BOB standings and some BIS winnings.
Next year we'll be more attentive in the shows while the new generation starts to present themselves.

New friends were made, and great homes found for our kittens. The last ones are still here with us waiting for their own homes to be found.

And special thanks go to Henna&Terhi from Finland, who are proud owners of 3 Via Nocturna cats and dear friends. As well as to Inka for her friendship. And not to forget Eeva-Leena & Kirsi, both very dear friends who have been a great help and listeners in phone during the past years.

So I wish you all Happy New Year, and lets hope that next year will bring us all only great memories.

2017 will be interesting year, but more of the plans for it another day. Now it is time to sit down and wave 2016 bye bye.
