Time to wrap up 2013 and look towards 2014

It is New Year's eve, so time to sit down and wrap up all the things that happened during 2013 and start looking towards the new year.

The year 2013 did not begin too well in our cattery. Kira gave birth to total 6 dead babies and during those dark moments, I was sure, I would never ever breed again. Those horrible hours when Mommyship was crying at the nest and I was crying in other room and finally we found comfort from each other and our relationship became very deep.

Thanks belong also to many friends, who stood by us during those dark hours, Sylwia from Divine Madness-cattery and Mirka from Dela Soul's-cattery. And many many others.

Spring went by and we were not attending to catshows as we wanted to give Lilith some well deserved rest. During 2012 she was almost in every catshow, so it was proper time for Her Highness to stay at home.

As summer was coming towards to the end, a new familymember joined our furry crowd, Mr. Warre "Rimppakintun Aamuvarhain", oriental longhair male, who came to us from cattery Willicon in Finland. This cremecaramel guy just stole our hearts and also hearts of many judges, as he began his show life by being BOB-4 - and more followed, ending up the year for Warre missing 3x CAGCIP's for his GIC title.

We bought ourselves a new home, big big apartment that is slowly being renovated to the needs of our cats. They live here, we just pay the bills.

So, that the year would not be only about shows... the first Via Nocturna-litter saw the daylight on 17th of September 2014. Those few agonizing moments when Kira began her labor, I was sitting next to the nest and just praying... When seeing the first baby take her first breath, the tears of joy just came from my eyes and I knew... I just knew, that this wonderful moment of new life being born, was something so precious I still cannot put my words around. Four healthy babies, 2 girls and 2 boys were born from the union of Warre and Kira, and hopefully one of these boys will continue in longhair breeding program here at our cattery, whilst small blue tortie princess Apsara goes to cattery Willicon in Finland.

Bit later, two wonderful girls, Lady and Tutte came to us all the way from the Netherlands. I had seen a picture from Lady and fell in love with this calico-colored shorthair girl, and a month later Lady and her half sister Tutte arrived to Poland from cattery Van Crystaltina. Great thanks for Tineke for letting us have these two girls for their forever home, and they are a big part of our family.

As the year was coming to its end, another furry friend joined our family, and Mazzystar Catmania came home. We have many plans for this handsome young fellow in the future, and he has already shown everyone how gorgeous he is by having 4xBIS in his 4 shows he has attended. Hugs and kisses for Monika for this wonderful young man. He truly steals your soul with his gorgeous looks and big, purring heart!

That was our year... One of the last things we did this year, was to appear in tv, but more of that later, when the clip is published ;)

This year began with sorrow, but ended up being surrounded by friends and loved ones. Many new friendships were created, old ones came stronger and I hope that 2014 will be even better year for us here in Via Nocturna-cattery.
