British longhair was fully recognized in FIFe in September, 2017. As the breed was not fully recognized, it was not able to participate to nominations or best in show competitions.
During the year 2015 there were total of 21 BLH entries in the shows. During 2016 there were already 37 entries, which is over 76% increase to the amount of entries.
There were slightly more females than males entered for show.
The most popular color was "b" (chocolate) followed by "c" (lilac). Surprisingly there were no blue british longhairs presented (during 2016 this was the most popular color).
When agouti and white is removed, b still remains the most popular color followed by f, g and ns.
24% of the entries had some amount of white.
Only 2 entries had agouti markings (21).
The cats were entered to show classes as follows.
The results gained are as per table below. Absence percentage was 24%.
