So there I was on Saturday morning, laying in my cage, afraid of all that noise and movement outside. Oh why Mommy, why you took me from home to this hellhole! This is not a place for a cat knowing her worth. People were invading my privacy and staring me while I was trying to hide into my iglu.
Later on, I was taken out from the cage and carried to a place the humans called "the ring". What I saw there was shocking! Cats placed on tables, stretched to unnatural positions and strangers poking them. Suddenly, Mommy grabbed me and carried me to such table. This weird lady was poking me, and I soooo wanted to claw her eyes out! But I was bit too afraid. So I ended up just sitting on the table, pretending to be as small as possible and so they might not notice me existing. But seems I charmed this unknown lady, and she gave a nice paper evaluation of me. She also told, that I was too afraid, so she let the other housecat win.
This is it! No way, Lilith The Mighty Minikitten, Destroyer of the Worlds, Conqueror of All Lands and Slave Master of Humankind is number 2 ! I wanted to jump to the table and tell out loud how I feel about such humiliation, but Mommy took me back to our cage and said that I was very brave and that she was proud of me. After she squished me few times I knew this "showbusiness" was not so bad afterall.
Here is a link for some pictures from Saturday show. That black cat in there is me!

Then came Sunday and we travelled to the show again. This time... I was prepared! All day I wanted to go to the ring but Mommy not let me roam freely. So I decided to spend my time well in preparations. I took few very long sandbaths (I wonder why Mommy kept telling me no-no. I just dug out all the sand from litterbox and rolled over it quite a few times. Makes my coat shiny!). And finally it was The Time! There we go, again towards the ring. I see these little humans... children they call... and they all come to me to pat me and love me. They will make excellent slaves as soon as they grow up.
And then the ring. The judge, that human who says am I beautiful or not, took me to her arms and complimented my coat (see Mommy, Mighty Minikitten knows better!), and also told that I got a wild look.
I was not so afraid anymore, I was presenting myself to the judge and she told me I was first. And I got some paper telling NOM BIS. Mommy told me that I was nominated to become the best in show homecat. I wonder what it is, but looks like it meant a lot for Mommy.
Later on that day, I was taken back to the ring. This time, Mommy left me alone to an empty cage and I got scared. What is this. No Mommy ? Anyone ? Help me?!. A lady that I've never met came and picked me up. I was so close of jumping on her and run to find my Mommy, but she was so gentle, and I saw everyone looking at me. It was just me and some male housecat in the ring. Then they announced my name and Mommy's name in the speakers and started to walk me away from ring. There I saw Mommy and they placed a trophy and catfood to her arms. Then Mommy realized that me, the Mighty Minikitten, was selected as the Best In Show housecat and the joy when we met each other again...
Pictures from Sunday show are here. The beautiful black girl in the pics is... ofc me!

This was only the beginning of our shows... I know we can do better! And to show everyone that housecats are not anything less than our cousins with fancy breed names, titles and pedigrees. We too can win and be unique in our own way!
