2017 statistics - Abyssinian (ABY)

During 2017 there were 103 Abyssinian entries for Polish FIFe-catshows.

The amount of Abyssinians declined a bit compared to 2016.

Majority of the entries were for female cats and four litters (class 16) were presented during the year.
 Besides of year 2015, more females have been entered than males.
 During 2017 the colors entered for shows were as follows.
 Cats were entered to classes as per graph below.
 During the period of 2015-2017 the same trend continues and there are barely any entries for Abyssinians in the higher classes.
 The same trend is also present with neuters that are almost completely absent from the shows. During the period of 3 years, there were in total only 8 entries for neuter adults.
 Out from adult cats (classes 1-10) during 2015 6.45% were neuters, during 2016 there were no neuter entries and during 2017 7.8% of all adult entries were for neuters.

The cats gained results as follows.
 Below chart shows the absence percentage per years. It has been now on steady decline.

Below is a chart showing the amounts of nominations and Best in Show results per year.
 During 2017 44.10% of nominated Abyssinians gained BIS result.
 Below chart shows the amounts of cats (from total entered for breed) and the percentage of them gaining BIS/NOM result. According the data roughly same amount of Abyssinians get nominated every year during the period, but during 2016 only 13.2% of all entered Abys gained BIS award.

 Five BIV's were given during 2017.
 Mrs. Helene Reiter evaluated most Abyssinians with Mrs. Britte Busse.
 Most of the cats were assigned to Polish judges.
 Unlike with most of the other breeds, Abys had more entries for Sunday than Saturday.
