As it is a summer, and plenty of you folks are heading to your summer homes to enjoy your vacations, I think I have something, I have to share with you.
During this period, many little kittens are born to farms around. Those little furballs playing together are indeed cute, but You should remember that they are not a pet that you can take for Your children for the summer and forget behind.
These little furballs are living creatures, and until age of 12 weeks they require the care of their own mom, to grow up in safe surroundings.
So many little kittens face the same faith every year. They are taken from their family to a human family. They are playing with their human friends and growing up. Then comes the fall time, and when the family is packing up their stuff to go back to their homes, a little kitten is forgotten behind. When the rear lights of the car go to the distance, this poor little furball does not understand why it was left alone, where did all its friends disappear and why noone is coming to bring it any food.
When the winter draws in, the little furball goes to sleep under the house, hoping for some warmth and shelter. The first snowflakes fall down from the sky, and all alone, in the cruel world, it sheds a tear and sleeps to the eternal slumber, dreaming of the summerdays catching bugs and being patted.
So many little kittens arrive at the rainbow bridge at the same time, all too soon and all too alone.
Please, do not take a cat for summer. Remember when you leave your summerhomes, that you might be leaving someone behind... all alone. Do a favor for all those little kittens arriving at the rainbow bridge, and tell their stories to your friends and family, so they can also know and understand.
Thank you.
No soul is too small to be saved, and no life should be wasted.
